Basil

Recently I purchased two plants from our local greenhouse:  Mint and basil.
Above in the photo is mint on the left, and basil on the right.

The lovely plant Basil is the subject of this post.  Everyone should have a basil plant to admire and to benefit from it's herbal values.

If nothing more, just to inhale the wonderful scent of basil!!

Already this plant is flowering.  One can pinch off leaves for cooking and medicinal uses, and it will sprout new shoots.
